We sourced tis tea on our 2018 China tea trip. Philip of ‘Yiwu Mountain Tea’ was very pleased to offer us his first production of ‘Yiwu Gushu Ripe’ that has seen much interest already in the mainland Chinese market, in fact most of the 2016 has already been purchased. Material is entirely Yiwu area Da Shu (old arbor) & Gu Shu (Ancient Arbor) from 2005 – 2014! Fermentation took place in 2014 and was ceased at 70% to keep the character of the material.
The aroma is deep with signature Yiwu sweetness. The broth is substantially textured and can easily surpass 20-30 infusions. Philip recomends a ratio of 1g -10ml water for best results and a tea session that should last all day with friends!
