We sourced this cake on our 2018 China tea trip. An excellent example of an aging Purple tea. Material gathered from an (un managed) forest in Xishuangbanna that is now protected. The material used to make this cake is now unavailable! The cake was pressed in Menghai. Aged carefully in Guangdong since 2012 this tea is displaying some interesting ‘Black tea’ characteristics, a deep and rich aging purple tea.
