This cheeky little chi bomb is 100% mixed pick huangcaolin area material which would include leaf from both young and old trees.
This, pretty much untrodden area of Mengku…is tasty! Very clean broth, light yellow in colour. Initially the tea is honeysuckle sweet with zippy astringency and tantalising bitterness which folds into a very satisfying green aftertaste and returning sweetness, good start…. The taste has a creamy character that builds slowly. Slight stone like minerality but not as ‘in your face’ as other Mengku. There is noticeable power in this tea but the bitterness is restrained to a manageable level, definitely not a ‘girly tea’ as some would say. The chi creeps on you slowly (spring chi 😊) and is..quite powerful. In fact I would say that nothing else comes close ‘chi wise’ in our store at this price point! I would describe the chi as drowsy, stoney.

Clean minerality on the front, followed by a sweetness and a wisp of wheat. A smooth soother. One to drink up and get into a deep meditation. 🙂
