In 2020 this tea is ready to drink and will only improve. Aroma off the rinse is full of creamy cocoa notes. As you would expect with a high calibre of material the mouth feel is nice and soft, lubricating and substantial. Many complex deep bass notes of cocoa. Creeping Chi energy apparent from infusion 2 onwards that intensifies slowly. All in all a fairly strong flavoured beefy ripe with a decent overall balance of flavour and hard-hitting Chi.

This Gushu is fruity, gives a nice full feeling in the mouth and has a unique slight bitterness.

Oli’s description is pretty much spot on except that I notice that this tea still retains some of the stone fruit taste and “edge” you’d find in a Yiwu raw. Lovely chi that’s deeply relaxing. A good ripe winter warmer.
