This is a pretty rare offering. Maydi is generally regarded the ‘king of Frankincense’ in Somalia and comes in 4 grades from 1 (largest) to 4 smallest. This is grade 2 (AKA Maydi Mujaarwal). Originating from Puntland State in Somalia. This resin can be heated or burnt on coal for aroma or even chewed as a gum. Particularly popular in Saudi Arabia for use as gum! Other names for Maydi include Meydi, Meyti, Maidi, Maieti, and Mayeti.
