Using Hojari Frankincense For Medical Use

The medical use of Bosswellia resins is as old as anyone can remember. In more recent history Bosswellia serrata has been touted as the ‘go to’ frankincense for medical ailments or even just proactive good health. This is because Bosswellia serrata was the only frankincense resin to have undergone medical scrutiny with research and peer reviews. At the time it was the only Frankincense allowed to be officially used for medical use for this reason. You can’t sell something as a medicine if it hasn’t undergone this high level of testing.

The truth is that many Bosswellia resins are fit for medical purposes (if the purity is high enough of course!). Green or White tears of Omani hojari as well as papyrifera from ethiopia/sudan is the highest in these Boswellia acids. They carry a high amount of bosswellia acid (the good stuff), it’s the unique active ingredient in Bosswellia resins. Bosswellia acid can combat inflammation and many agree that inflammation is the route cause of many afflictions. It is prooven that Boswellia resin can reduce infection, the smoke has antbacterial effects and Papyrifera contains Incensol Acetat which can reduce anxiety…bonus! Although for all the positive studies into this amazing resin, still not enough research has been carried out yet. It’s happening tho. I talk to devoted and passionate researchers who purchase our medical grade frankincense for testing and the outlook is promising! The various resins have slightly different effects on the body. This can vary from person to person. One would need to test each of them out to discover which may work best for them.

How to use Boswellia resins for medical use:

Frankincense tea:

It’s always important to use pure water. There’s no minimum or maximum allowance of resin to be used, 1-5g of resin is fine, how strong do you like it? Boil water to 60-80c. Add resin and water to a 500ml vessel. The longer you leave it the more boswellic acid will be released. Drink and keep adding hot water until the resin has been pretty much dissolved. Many people actually like to grind up the resin and place into a teabag. This may well help release the acids quicker. feel free to add other ingredients to taste such as ginger.

Chew like gum:

Muslims have been chewing this resin since anybody can remember. They like to chew while studying the Koran as the resin will keep them alert and help to focus on the teachings. Chewing high purity Boswellia frankincense resin will also release the benefitial ingredients.

Make Frankincense water:

It’s always important to use pure water. There’s no minimum or maximum allowance of resin to be used, 1-5g of resin is fine, how strong do you like it? Simply plug the resin into a 500 mil container, leave in the fridge overnight for roughly 12 hours. In the morning drink on an empty stomach. Replace water in vessel and drink again before bed preferably on an empty stomach. Again this process can be repeated until resin has been dissolved. feel free to add other ingredients to taste such as ginger.

Inhaling frankincense:

Many scientific tests have pointed towards inhalation of Frankincense to be an extremely good way to taking the beneficial effects. The best way we can see doing this right now is to grind up the resin get a cooking pot with hot water, throw in your ground up resin and simply place your head over the cooking pot with a towel and inhale the steam. Insure to test this inhalation method with short breaths at first just to make sure you’re getting on with it.

I really hope this information proves helpful to some of you guys. I know there are many of my clients using this resin for medical use and I just hope that this information gets to you!
