Charcoal roasted oolong from Pinghe county Fujian Province. The charcoal roast makes for quite an expressive aroma, don’t you just love the full on roasty toastieness! The tea is pretty smooth , silky and has a satisfying mouth feel. Although this is a fully roasted tea the flavour profile is quite bright. I would say the profile is very similar to Dong Ding, honey floral. There is an element of astringency but it is at a level that give us tea just enough bite. As it’s a roasted it will taste good for 18 months or more.
