The 2018 ‘Yibang’ is 100% spring Yibang Da Shu material, trees over 80 years old. Yibang has an unmistakable signiture bright taste being fruity/floral. This Da Shu Yibang is no exception. Yi Bang is a small village in Xishuangbanna on the outskirts of Yiwu. The tea is generally ‘small leaf’ veriatal. The aroma an flavour is brimming with punchy fruity notes and a semi smooth, creamy texture. Bitterness and astringency is moderate making for an overall great ‘all rounder’ Raw.
September 2020 tasting: The forward floral character is waining with age, the tea is rounding off nicely. Good bitterness levels when pushed. I personally experienced Chi from the 1st cup. A nice honeysuckle, pollen aftertaste.
