Bang Dong Village is in the Mengku area of Lincang, Yunnan. The material is 2018 Spring old tree (da Shu), around 60-80 years of age. a mineral sweet and apricot fruit aroma. A strong and complex Mengku style flavour comes through very well. A strong dose of bitterness early on to match the full flavoured tea. Stone fruit with strong minerality & light astringency. A long apricot aftertaste can be noticed from infusion 2 with strong overt sweetness in later steeps! All round a nice complex stronger tea. No mouth pucker, quite lubricating and a fairly smooth texture. Awesome, fresh and satisfying Bang Dong right here!

I have a bit of a “soft spot” for tea from Menku area, because “Menku wild arbour king” was the first raw puerh that I tried. Ah the start of a journey that’s brought me here. Sorry rambling again 😊
This is a very nice tea, does everything the man says, I think flavour’s such a subjective thing though. I’m not getting much in the way of stone fruits from this one. Its delicious though with a good aftertaste that grows in the mouth and lasts for ages.
Another good da shu offering with a noticeable chi that’s apparent from the first cup.
