This, I believe is a very good Ripe for little money. Menghai area material. The 2017 Ripe comes jumping out of the gate being astonishingly smooth and well rounded considering its such a new tea. The aroma is (as name suggests) sweet and malty. flavour is balanced malty/ Malteser notes, slight cocoa & a touch of peat. Being smooth and well rounded with no signs of fresh Ripe ‘fishy’ aroma at all, this tea is ready to drink and is a ‘more-ish’ pleasure doing so!
