2007 Pin Xiang ‘Bu Lang’ Tuo Guangdong Stored Pu Erh Tea
£2.65 – £15.80
Wetter Stored, peppery aged taste, slightly sweet.
Stored in Guangdong this puerh has lost most of its innitial charactor, giving way to mostly aged taste. Slight bitterness remains but is very low and just adds to the experience in a good way. I think this tea takes you right to the brink of what you could describe as ‘dry stored’. There is a wetter stored aged taste that clings to the pallet with the help of what left of the Bulang bitterness. This persists throughout the infusions but you will find no ultra dank first infusion after its initial rinse which is the case in wet stored tea. Some sparks of sweetness appear on early infusions and the soup is a dark orange/brown. An energetic Cha Chi is noticable.
