The best thing about this tea is its texture, The ageing makes for a smooth broth and great mouthfeel. The liquid glides down the throat effortlessly. A balanced Puerh, not too light and not too bold. Very clean and sweet with hints of honey on the finish. An energetic Cha Qi may be felt by the astute drinker.
Ripe Puerh is separated into several leaf grades from 1 (gong ting buds) through to 10 (large leaf). Generally speaking the higher the grade, the lighter and less bold the flavour. This loose Puerh grade generally seen as ‘middle of the road’ offering a light thirst quencher with just enough background oomph. A great loose ripe!
